Moffat has the advantage of being close to a great deal of adventures in south central Colorado. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is a short drive away, boasting 30 square miles of the highest dunes in North America, trail-free and just waiting for your own personal expedition to commence through not only the sand, but cottonwood groves, tundra and forest as well.

Crestone and all it has to offer is a short drive as well, complete with UFO sighting platforms, an incredible array of religious retreats and summer festivals to make your head spin.

When the snow flies, it's time to hit the slopes and the trails, both of which Moffat is a stone's throw from. Or stay in town and enjoy the silence a village brings, sipping coffee and watching the sun set over the Sangre de Cristos.
