Silverthorne, Colorado Mountain Activities & Recreation

Summer or winter, spring or autumn, you’ll find more to do here than you can accomplish in one trip. Come in spring and experience some of the most intense whitewater rafting and kayaking in the State, fly fish the Colorado, or spring camp high in the backcountry. Visit during summer and enjoy cooler than city-life weather, sunshine nearly 300 days a year, fly fishing, boating Dillon Reservoir, hunting, hiking and camping some of mother nature’s most beautiful backcountry. Take a horseback ride out into the wilderness and camp out for a weekend. Raft the Colorado or the Blue Rivers during summer and experience calmer waters the whole family can enjoy. Come autumn take a scenic drive through the most spectacular Aspen groves, or come for the Blue River Festival in September when golfers and fly fisherman compete to benefit the restoration of the Blue River. When the snow flies, snowboard and ski the 7 nearby ski resorts, or take up snowshoeing, cross country skiing or ice fishing.
No matter the season, Silverthorne has you covered.
