Whitewater rafting nearby, fly fishing and some of the most spectacular hiking and scenic drives in the country are waiting for you in summer. When the snow flies however, is when Keystone shines. Totaling 4 mountains and 2,200 acres of terrain ranging from beginner and family to advanced tree runs in back country terrain, you won’t find a more versatile mountain to explore.
The snows have run clear, the rivers are swelling with ice water and the freshwater fish run for the first time of the season. Whether you’re the fishing type or crave the thrill of whitewater rafting, desire a peaceful day hiking the mountain or camping nearby and experiencing all the summer months have to offer, Keystone is the place to be.
Named by Skiing Magazine as the “ultimate all-things-to-all-skiers”, Keystone is an enormous draw to local and vacationers alike come winter. With 2,200 acres of terrain, 24 lifts and 4 mountains, including Arapahoe Basin, there’s a run here to suit every level of proficiency in the snow. They boast an 11.5 hour day on the mountain, opening up select runs after 4:00 pm for night skiing.
Beyond skiing and snowboarding, you’ll find snowshoeing, sleigh rides, cross country skiing and ice skating at Keystone, snowmobiling terrain a short drive away, as well as ice fishing on a close by reservoir. No matter your passion when the snow flies, Keystone can satisfy it.
