Summer in Colorado

The clear, warm days and cool refreshing nights make summer in Fourteener Country heaven in the outdoors. How you enjoy it is up to you. The hard part may be picking from your options.

Feeling energetic? Try camping in untouched wilderness, hiking trails pioneers used to tread upon and climbing a 14,000 foot daunting peak. World class fishing and whitewater river rafting await your arrival, or try mountain biking into the Wild West and see the mines this area was known for.

Need to relax? Enjoy a mountain drive, explore old ghost towns, window shop the historic streets of quaint mountain towns, or mingle with others in the numerous summer festivals in the area. What ever you decide, with over 300 days of sunshine per year , you want to be sure to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.
