One mile north of Buena Vista, Colorado.
Duplex cabin with private riverbank on the Upper Arkansas River. Two bedrooms, open kitchen and dining space with large harvest table and living room with Direct TV, fully equipped kitchen, bath and shower rooms, patio with gas grill and private circle drive. The windows have views of both the river and the mountains.
Comfortable and clean. All carpeted. Linens, towels, soaps and paper products are all provided.
The patio overlooks the Upper Arkansas River and the many rafts and kayakers in the summer. No matter the season, there will be the wonderful soothing sound of water moving over the river rocks. The patio leads to a river path going down to your picnic table, firepit, tent site and beach area, good for soaking in the river. Many come here to fish and gold pan, as well.
Within walking distance are wildlife areas full of rock climbing, hiking, biking, atv and jeep trails. The old railroad tunnels and spectacular vistas of the valley and fourteener mountains that comprise the "backbone" and Continental Divide, bring people to the "Four Mile Area". And it is all right outside your door.
Sleeps up to 8 persons. One bedroom has a king bed, the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds. A futon and sofa bed are in the apartment for additional sleeping.
$150 per night, for 4 persons. $25 each additional person. $100 damage deposit (returnable after inspection).
Open all year. Good for families.
We supply the towels, linens, soaps and paper products. Fully carpeted, comfortable and clean.

From the stoplight in town, go east across railroad tracks to Colorado Ave. Go north (left) at Colorado Avenue. It will turn into County Rd. 371. The retreat is at the top of the dip in the road, on the right, before the bridge and tunnels. |
